About the Journal

The multidisciplinarity that characterises the JLLCS brings together knowledge expansion and understanding in linguistics, literature, and cultural studies.  The journal promotes a dynamic, academic platform for Algerian and foreign researchers, scholars, academicians, and practitioners to contribute to the publication of innovative, original, and scientific work.  The journal also welcomes critical analyses and theoretical perspectives addressing language, literature, and culture and their intricacies, complexities, interconnectedness, and interplay.

  1. In the field of linguistics, contributions on a wide range of linguistic topics are welcome. The journal encourages research exploring the interface between language and society, language and its aesthetic features, and the role of language in shaping cultural identities.
  2. In the field of literary studies, research work engaging with literary texts from diverse genres are invited. The journal is looking for submissions revealing comparative analyses, new interpretations, and theoretical insights into literary works. Genre studies, literary criticism, and narratives on the interplay between literature and other art forms and disciplines are highly encouraged.
  3. In the field of cultural studies, the journal invites research on cultural practices and representations. It seeks to publish research work on different cultural aspects and the relationship between them, such as popular culture, media, identity, politics, cultural heritage, race, gender, class, and power relations. Besides, as globalisation and internationalisation are gaining momentum, research on the interaction between/across cultures is also encouraged.  Thus, the journal aims at publishing interdisciplinary, thought-provoking approaches emphasising the connections between culture and other tenets.
